Useful Information - updated 1st July 2021

The property address is...
Bungalows Los Alcazares, 25
Calle Pp Golden Valley - Alcazares
03726 Benitachell

The below link will take you as far as google can manage before it gets into a bit of a muddle. You're 300m away from you property once you reach the location marked on the map. At this junction, take the right hand turn signed ‘Golden Valley’.

Turn immediately left down the hill and you will see the ‘Bungalows Los Alcazares’ sign 50m on the right. Turn into the urbanisation which is one way, and follow the road all the way round until you reach number 25.

Any problems, just message me and I will come and meet you.

You can use the driveway in font of the house.

The front door key is in a key safe located to the left of the front door. The code will be sent to you via What's App. Once in the property, please replace the key in the safe box and use the duplicate one hung on the right as soon as you enter. This way, should you unfortunately loose the key, you can still get access using the one for the key safe.

Repeat this in revese when you check out.

Bedroom 1

The right hand side bedroom is currently set up as a double. This room has air conditioning, activated using the remote control on the bedside table. There are extra pillows in the wardrobe.

Bedroom 2

This bedroom is currently setup as a single and does not have air conditioning. There is a celling fan which is very effective at cooling. You will notice a 2nd foldable bed tucked under. This simply pulls out so this room can then become a double if required.

When showering, water can sometimes collect on the floor between the bath and the toilet. If so, no problem. Just mop with the white bath towel and then leave out to air on the clothes line on the terrace.

Utility room

Spare towels, toilet rolls and an iron are in the white cupboard. Please use the coloured towels for the beach. You are welcome to use the beach umbrella's and the foldable chairs hung above the washing machine. You can use the blue and white cool box on the bottom left of the wardrobe. There should be cool blocks in it.

Should you need to do any washing, the liquid is on top of the machine. It’s fairly self explanatory, choose the 15/30 min cycle then select ‘Speed’ 15 mins ‘Inico’ will start the cycle.

There’s a drying rack out on the terrace.

Keys to access the garden and terrace are in the doors. Access to the pool is via the steps to the right. There are cushions for the dark furniture on the roof terrace tucked behind the single seats I the living room. Please use these but remember to place back in the living room before you check out.

I have a selection of young fruit trees in the garden. If you are interested in knowing what they are, starting from left is a Nespero followed by Nectarine, lemon, 2 x Kumquats in the small terracotta pots, Pomello (pink grapefruit) and finally blood orange. I also have a Moscatel vine growing against the wall.

I have an automatic catering system that will start 3 times a week around 6pm in the evening. If you notice the water pressure dropping for 10 mins, it will be the watering taking place. You are welcome to use the white sun loungers.

Unfortunately BBQ's are not allowed during July and August as we have a wooded area within 500m of the property.

If you plan to spend a lot of time by the pool, best to close and lock the black gate. The white double doors can of course remain open creating a pleasant breeze through the house.

Communal pool

The swimming pool is communal and has hand sanitisers at various locations around. The end closet to you is very shallow and the far end is quite deep. Exercise caution when entering the water until you are familiar with the depths. There are clear signs indicating the rules of usage.

Communal areas

The urbanisation has communal gardens you are welcome to walk around. They are up the stairs and you can turn left or right and walk along the gravel paths. There are access gates at either end and directly opposite the pool on both sides.

The cooker is electric and the hob gas, use the black lighter or matches to light the hob (it doesn't have an auto ignition). Feel free to use all utensils including the Nutribullet and juicer.

I purposefully have a small bin under the sink. This is to encourage it to be changed often so waste food honest attract ants if you are out during the day. Best to get into the habit of taking the waste bag with you each time you go out and dump at the communal bins which are just outside the urbanisation as indicated.

The bin is under the sink with spare bags in the cupboard. Just outside the urbanisation, there are recycling bins for glass, plastic and general waste. Please take all waste to the communal bins upon checking out .

Food Shopping

There are many supermarkets nearby, the closest is the Mercadona just down the road. You will pass this on your way to the property so may want to pop by and get the basic food you require.

A Pepe La Sal and Carrefour are also a short drive away. El Portet has a small supermarket with the essentials. Moraira is well served with a wide variety of clothes shops, banks, pharmacies, estate agents and many, many restaurants. There is a large market each Friday morning held in the public car park selling fresh, local produce.

Get there early, from 8:30 as it becomes very busy.

Medical Assistance

Should you require urgent medical assistance, the national number for Spain from a mobile is 112. There are also a number of private clinics you can make appointments at.

I have listed these below. Asistel is the closest and a 1 minute drive away

As with most of Spain, there are many pharmacies available nearby. I have listed the closest ones. There are many more in the centre of Moraira and these are quite obvious. All have sightly differing opening times so familiarise yourself with the opening hours before setting off.

Checking out

Please leave used towels on the floor in your bedroom. Ensure all doors are locked and keys remain in locks upstairs as you found them. If you used grey the seat covers on the furniture outside, please place back in the lounge.

When leaving the property, hang the key you have been using back on the hook by the front door and access the key from the safe. Use this to lock the door and place the key back in the safe.

Any breakages or issues please let me know so I can deal with it efficiently.
